On what was one of those wonderfully cold, crisp, winter mornings just prior to the big day itself, my 2nd Guide Joe completed a professionally guided and full-on instructional session for two gentlemen who had won a South Devon Bass Guide Voucher – Dave Allen and Dave Major (aka, The Two Daves).
With the overhead conditions bright and the water exceptionally clear for the time of year, Joe guided them on a number of marks throughout the day as he doggedly searched for where the bass were either positioning among the wrack over high tide, and where they may well be patrolling via various channels, nooks, and gullies as the water ebbed out of what is one of south Devon’s most beautiful waterways.
“Joe fine-tuned my Creature Bait technique, resulting in three bass from two marks, plus further bites including one decent fish which curved my rod round hard before throwing the hook!
What was brilliant, is that alongside the fine tuning, Joe adjusted us to each spot we fished or the conditions as they presented, always encouraging us and giving us the best chance of a fish. Just a fantastic day and I’ll certainly be back!”

Joe’s 8 Hour sessions in January, February, March, April and December are priced as follows:

Our popular 3 Day Packages are for 3 people (you do not need to know one another, and you can come as a singleton to join the other two anglers) and incorporate 6x 4 hour guided sessions over 3 days (and nights) of fishing.
The price includes 3 nights BB accommodation (a Double en-suite room per person) at the excellent Chillington House – Bed and Breakfast Hotel.
