My Client Catches – Needles and Pencils

As intimated in my recent ‘Client Catches’ reports, with the ongoing bright sunshine days and cool winds, it has been the night fishing that has, unsurprisingly, seen the greatest levels of success over my recently completed, professionally guided bass lure fishing sessions.

My client (Pete) who landed his PB on the previous night with me with another stunning bass that snaffled a TC Lures/Marc Cowling MWS Needlefish covering a shallow reef.

As the title suggests, it has been the Needlefish and Pencil-type lures that have proved their worth once the horizon has disappeared, and the stars have began to twinkle – lures such as:

Indeed, it was during one such session, from a beautifully secluded and very much an archetypal south Devon setting, that the catches in the images above and below were achieved – with the Audio Clip below elaborating on the intricacies involved.

My client Ed with his first ever night-time bass – the ‘missile’ that is the 24g Westin Sandy Fixed accounting for this one at range out over a flat expanse of sand deep into darkness.
